We’ll start the day with energising, ski-focussed vinyasa yoga to warm up the body for a day on the slopes and end the day with a relaxing and rejuvenating ski-rehab yin yoga class. Each class will be suitable for all levels - rest assured that Connie and Emily will make sure that each class has something for everyone, whether you consider yourself more of a beginner or are looking to deepen your yoga practice.

Want to come on holiday but have a partner who’s not keen on yoga but wants to ski? Let’s chat, we’ve got space for 2 non-yogis!

Part of the Portes du Soleil area, there’s so much excellent skiing on our doorstep in Morzine which we’re very excited to make the most of! Our chalet hosts will also be providing us with an amazing mini-bus service, so that each morning, we’ll be taken by mini-bus to wherever we decide to ski for the day and then, at the end of the day, we’ll be whisked back home for afternoon tea. It’s up to you how much apres you partake in - the chalet team are happy to bring normal shoes to any bar in town after the end of the day’s skiing, so each evening is an opportunity for a post-ski beer or Aperol if that’s your thing!

Our chalet hosts will be creating an incredible Savoyard menu for us, with a slightly lighter twist - still all the favourites (and of course there will be cheese!). We hope that our menu will help to reduce that post-holiday feeling of chalet overindulgence! The retreat includes welcome drinks, daily breakfast (with hot options included) and afternoon tea as well as five nights of three-course dinner with wine, followed by a cheese board, coffee and chocolates. We can cater for a variety of dietary requirements. One evening (on our chalet host's evening off), we will mix up the schedule a little and switch our yin practice for an evening out on the town - with a few apres drinks together followed by dinner out in resort. This dinner isn't included in the cost of the retreat.

Connie Crawford

Moving with the breath is so much more powerful than the sum of its parts and its the transformational nature of yoga – physically, emotionally and spiritually – that brings Connie back to the mat nearly every day.

Connie first discovered vinyasa yoga when she was training to be a lawyer and knew early on in her practice that it would become a practice for life. Yoga keeps Connie grounded despite the intensity of London life and was an essential support for her early on in her legal career. So in love with the practice, Connie embarked on her first teacher training in ashtanga vinyasa and rocket yoga in 2017 and after spending some time juggling both worlds – teaching yoga alongside working as a lawyer – Connie decided to turn her passion into her way of life.

Connie teaches a range of styles from dynamic vinyasa, rocket and mandala vinyasa to slow flow, yin yoga and meditation. Despite being strong and challenging, Connie’s classes are led with an encouraging tone and a steady focus on the breath. Whether guiding a fiery sequence or a mellow flow, Connie encourages her students to turn their awareness inwards, to become more mindful of their experience in the present moment and to develop a steady sense of inner strength and calm.

Emily Harding

Emily's yoga teaching philosophy is simple - keep it fun, welcoming and inclusive. Yoga is for everyone, not just the naturally flexible gymnasts amongst us. Emily has encountered yoga classes that feel like a vanity project of the person guiding you, jumping from crazy pose to painful-looking shows of flexibility, but not all classes have to be that way. Emily frames and explains your physical practise in straightforward terms, helping to break 'yogi' instructions down for you, and allowing you to delve into the more traditional and spiritual aspects of yoga, at your own pace and at a time of your own choosing. There's no forced chanting, no judgment, and no reason for you to be intimidated! Ask Emily's students how many times she's wobbled along with them, or fallen over right beside them!
