All experience is energy in motion—our thoughts, feelings, actions, and emotions are dynamic and ever-changing. Yet, we don't often take the time to graciously watch these experiences unfold on a moment-to-moment basis. When we move through life without thought or awareness, we tend to run on auto-pilot, which can leave us feeling depleted, unfulfilled, uninspired or lacking purpose. On the other hand, when you experience the limitless power of the present moment, life unfolds with you in a deeply moving way.
The Be Moved Retreat offers you the time, space to connect to the subtle energy that permeates all that surrounds you. You’ll sharpen your awareness of body, breath, and spirit by tuning into the ever-unfolding present moment. The days will flow through a centring rhythm of movement and stillness with activities that spark creativity and evoke joy.
The Setting

The Be Moved retreat is taking place at the House of Light Retreat Centre; a tranquil sanctuary set among the stunning natural backdrop of La Alpujarra in Southern Spain.
The magical property, from where you can view both the mountains and ocean, is beautiful and inspiring, as well as incredibly nurturing. The venue includes gorgeous guest rooms, glamping yurts and:
House of Light's diverse and distinctive spaces have been intricately and lovingly designed to give individuals the opportunity to connect with nature, open up, drop into vulnerability and connect quickly and deeply with one’s self.
Moroccan-inspired villa living
All of the rooms have been decorated with attention to detail and provide aesthetically beautiful, calm spaces designed to both inspire and relax you.
A mixture of private and shared accommodations of indoor rooms and outdoor yurts is available to suit your travel preferences and budget (see below).
Communal gathering
The dining room is connected to a large veranda allowing for group meals to be enjoyed inside or outside in the sun, taking in the mountain views down to the Mediterranean and, on a clear day, across to North Africa.
Gather at the large West facing sun terrace or head to the Moroccan Snug, a corner of comfy luxury with lounge sofas and lanterns.
Professionally-appointed yoga studio
The venue includes two dedicated indoor practice spaces, in addition to the outdoor garden areas. The studio spaces are perfectly equipped with yoga mats, props and meditation seats, providing you with support and comfort for your practices.
Yoga Classes
Up to two classes daily on full retreat days. Energizing vinyasa flow classes in the morning, and calming hatha, restorative and yoga nidra classes in the evening.

Dive into the depths of your soul in meditation, journaling, and self-discovery workshops
Conscious Bodies Session
Aeris Körper artists will guide you through gentle stretches, visualizations, connecting movements and simple vocal sounds in a playful playful, relaxing and rejuvenating workshop.
Beach Trip
Savour the salty sea breeze and take a dip in the ocean on a half-day visit to the beach.
Cave Tour
Venture through the Nerja caves; a labyrinth of caverns and cathedral of stalactites.
Sound Bath Ceremony
Experience the meditative and healing effects of a sound bath using a symphony of chimes, gongs, drums and singing bowls.
Raw Chocolate Class
Learn how to make chocolate from raw organic cacao; an antioxidant-rich treat that is good for the soul.
Nourishment and nurturing is a big part of retreat life. You’ll savour three delicious vegetarians, and often vegan meals prepared fresh daily with love and consciousness by our private chef.
All ingredients are either grown in the gardens or carefully sourced from local farmers. The menu is designed to feed both body and soul, using fresh ingredients and organic whole foods.

Nicole Catenazzi
Nicole first experienced the transformational potential of yoga in a tropical jungle in Costa Rica and credits the practice for bringing her into a state of present-moment awareness of body and mind. Now a 500-hour certified yoga instructor, she specializes in teaching in Hatha, vinyasa, and restorative yoga practices so that others may experience the same.
Her goal as a teacher is to help you find your power, your potential and your peace through movement, meditation and self-inquiry; encouraging you to listen to what your body needs, and inviting you to respond with compassionate acceptance.
Based near Toronto, Canada, Nicole has led retreats and events around the world, including her workshop Fearless Heart Flow, which combines yogic practices with expressive writing prompts. An avid traveller and lover of all things personal growth and development, Nicole has done self-directed study in life coaching, neuro-linguistic programming, writing, functional movement, philosophy, dance, and art.
