Join us, Irene and Kristin, for a nourishing week of yoga and mindfulness in gorgeous Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. Take the time to pause, breathe deep, and completely relax.

Soak up the sun, eat delicious healthy meals, reflect and restore. Enjoy twice daily yoga and meditation to help you tune in and reconnect. With plenty of free time, you will have the freedom to experience whatever draws you to Costa Rica.

The Yoga

Irene and Kristin will be incorporating multiple styles of yoga and meditation. Regardless of where you are in the yoga journey, you will discover greater flexibility, mobility, and strength. Each class will have a slightly different focus, giving you the opportunity to gain a greater sense of stability and ease in your personal practice.

The retreat will be held at an intimate beachfront hotel and yoga center located in Santa Teresa, a breathtaking white sand beach on the Pacific Ocean of Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula. Situated on four acres of unspoiled tropical beach, you will find beautiful swimming areas and also outcroppings of rock where natural tide pools form. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are prepared daily and include healthy vegetarian options along with fish and/or chicken. The food is organic when available and prepared with nourishing ingredients.

Instructors

KRISTIN REED

Kristin’s greatest desire through teaching yoga is to help provide time and space for others to listen in, connect to, and find freedom in their own body, mind, and breath. She has been teaching since 2009 and enjoys studying and sharing lessons from many different styles and traditions of yoga. Her classes emphasize building a solid foundation with strength and proper alignment, while also finding ease in asana and cultivating careful observation of the body and mind. Outside the classroom, Kristin works one-on-one with students as a licensed massage therapist practicing Traditional Thai Massage.

IRENE LANEY

Irene’s style of teaching revolves around understanding and strength. Over the last decade of teaching and training in different yoga traditions, her classes have evolved into a combination of pose structure, simple flows, and restorative styles. She loves having interactive classes where people have the opportunity to deepen their personal practice in a group setting.

In an effort to make all her classes accessible for any level of student, she is a fan of providing hands-on assistance and offering alternative poses when needed, this helps each student reap the benefits of each yoga class. She is a firm believer that yoga is for everyone, and that it has the power to teach us strength and peace in all aspects of our life. Outside the classroom, Irene works as a winery/personal chef and loves teaching cooking classes and private yoga lessons.
