Denise offers retreats for those who are looking to getaway from their everyday stressors, and relax, reflect, and focus inward to positively affect the way they live their life. The transformation is simple and based on Denise's proven, 8-step Ripple Affect Mindful Life Coaching series. You will come away feeling refreshed, renewed, with clearer perspective, and greater self-understanding. This weeklong immersion is filled with amazing self-care benefits.

Interspersed between the daily mindfulness workshops, you will have the chance to explore the entire intoxicating InSabina Retreat Center grounds with a myriad of walking and hiking trails. You can rest and rejuvenate in nooks and quiet spaces of the center, and take part in 2 daily yoga classes, as well as daily meditations. InSabina is the perfect setting to travel to and leave behind chaos, while journeying inward to find inner peace.

You will be treated to a mid-week excursion to the medieval town of Casperia to shop, explore and connect with the Italian culture. In addition, you will be also be treated to a 1-hour massage by one of the InSabina Spa's massage therapists, in a tranquil and serene setting.

Our farewell dinner will be in the beautiful town of Torri where we will partake in a delightful and delicious meal to celebrate our week together.

Our location

InSabina Retreat Estate & Villas is nestled among the majestic Sabine Hills, located in the serene countryside of Sabina just outside of Rome.  Situated in an enchanting valley, the property boasts tranquil surroundings, undulating landscape and breathtaking views. There are numerous walking trails and small villages nearby to discover. You will be treated to a mid-week excursion to the neighboring, medieval village of Casperia to shop and explore the quaint farming countryside, as well as, enjoy a delicious dinner in the quaint town of Torri. You are also free to set up your own mid-week excursion to Rome or other nearby towns easily accessible by train (at your own cost).


Two rustic, ancient stone farmhouses have been lovingly restored to offer modern comfort with old-world charm. The outdoor shala (open-air platform) overlooks the valley bursting with natural splendor of cypresses, olive groves and walnut trees. There are a myriad of outdoor and indoor nooks for leisure and practice.  The simple, elegant, distinctive bedrooms are all designed to nurture, soothe and inspire. Denise Zack, Author, Mindfulness Life Coach, 200-Hr RYT

Denise is a Certified Life Coach, Meditation Instructor, and Registered 200-Hour Yoga Teacher, who worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor for Southern Connecticut State University for 20 years, where she was a clinical therapist. She’s also done private, wellness-based consulting, meditation, mindfulness and yoga for individuals and businesses alike. ​ Through years of neuroscience and brain research reviews, Denise realized that negative brain patterns caused individuals to replay unhealthy thought triggers and habits over and over – leaving them swimming in circles in the same old “stress river” day after daunting day. This led her to develop a specialized method of Mindful Life Coaching. Her therapeutic approach helps her clients to identify their damaging patterns and then positively alter them to improve emotional balance and decrease stress. Denise has worked with thousands of clients to develop her proven coaching model. She finds it incredibly rewarding to examine where they are, determine where they want to be, and then take the mindful steps to get them there.


Lenora Clark, 200-Hr RYT

Lenora Clark, a 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher, found yoga over 20 years ago and almost immediately felt the shift it offered in her physical strength and flexibility. More importantly, there was a definite shift in the ability it gave her to manage physical and mental stressors. She leaned on yoga to accelerate as a marathoner, triathlete and businesswoman running a $30MM global business unit.

Learning from globally and nationally renowned experts like Bryan Kest, Sarah Powers, Ana Forest, Rolf Gates and Ame Wren has shown Lenora the need for strength and restoration, yang and yin. She relies on the combination to foster a balanced life. Enrolling in Rolf Gate’s teacher training stemmed from a desire to learn more about the traditions and origins of yoga and to create a home practice. Once she taught her first class, she could not wait to teach again and became committed to helping others in their yogic journey.

Lenora enjoys the challenge of a vinyasa flow and uses it to tap into physical and mental awareness. She encourages her students to try new things and believe in their bodies to do it. She is most rewarded by witnessing her students of all levels grow in their practice and achieve greater awareness and sense of self on and off the mat. Lenora does this through humor and reminding her students to not take themselves too seriously.
